If you need a Type 2 (AC) cableTooltip, you’re travelling abroad or would like to connect to a different type of socket, you’ll find charging cables and connectors, as well as other electric and hybrid accessories, in our online shop.
Charging your hybrid or electric vehicle from a standard domestic socket is simple. All you need is a home charging cableTooltip and a socket within reach. It's not the fastest method because of the limited power from household sockets, but it’s an accessible way to charge an electric car at home. Installing an EV Home Charging provides faster charging times, and you could make further savings by choosing an electricity tariff with lower off-peak pricing.
The cost to charge an electric car depends on variables like battery size, your electricity tariff, how much your battery is already charged and the EV’s temperature.
