New optional Matrix LED headlights, with integrated fog lamps and signature daytime running lights, deliver outstanding visibility with eye-catching design. The adaptive front lighting system optimises your Focus’s headlight beam patterns to suit specific driving conditions. Such as for motorway, city, or country road driving, as well as parking and cornering manoeuvres.
The Focus’s 12.3" digital instrument cluster displays driver information in high definition using intuitive, easy-to-read icons. You can prioritise which information is displayed, including navigation alerts, as well as programme the preferred pre-sets of individual drivers.
This system uses lateral sensors to look for vehicles hidden in your blind spot, even when towing a trailer. If another vehicle is detected, the system alerts you via warning lights built into both door mirrors.
Parking in a busy street or a tight space can be tricky. But Active Park Assist in the new Focus makes it easy. The system can identify suitable parking spaces, and then automatically steer you in. All you need to do is push the button and let the car do the work for you.
The Focus’s Adaptive Cruise Control makes driving easy in heavy traffic. Simply set your desired cruising speed, and the system automatically maintains a pre-set distance from the vehicle in front, bringing your car to a stop if necessary. Once the traffic ahead clears, the system accelerates back to your chosen speed. Available on automatic transmission.
The Traffic Sign Recognition system scans traffic signs and road markings to identify the current speed limit, and if activated can then adjust your maximum speed setting to match this limit.
The system alerts you if it detects changes to your driving behaviour that could be due to fatigue. If your driving alertness further declines, the visual alert is repeated combined with an audible chime.
The New Focus’s Evasive Steer Assist system uses radar and a camera technology to detect slower-moving and stationary vehicles ahead, then provides steering support to help you avoid another vehicle if a collision is imminent.
Hill Start Assist provides extra control when starting on a slope by maintaining pressure to the brakes for an extra 2.5 seconds. Helping to keep you from rolling downhill while your foot moves between the brake pedal and accelerator.
Detects vehicles driving in an oncoming direction and can apply brakes if you are attempting to cross the oncoming vehicle’s path. Intersection Assist automatically deactivates above 30km/h or can be turned-off manually.

The Pre-Collision Assist system scans for potential collision hazards with pedestrians and other vehicles up to 130 metres ahead and alerts you of their presence. If you don’t respond, it automatically applies the brakes. This technology is designed to help reduce the severity of accidents or can help avoid them altogether.Designed to function at speeds of up to 49 km/h. and to work at night.
A camera scans the road ahead and the system then warns you if it detects a collision is likely. If you don’t react, it can apply the brakes for you.
Electronic Stability Control constantly monitors your car's progress. It senses when a vehicle is losing grip and automatically applies a braking pulse to individual wheels to help stabilise it.
SYNC 4 Cloud connectivity allows your new Focus to utilise its onboard modem to provide a fully integrated theft recovery system.
