What do the Commercial Vehicle Acronyms Stand for?

Here is a list of the most common acronyms used for commercial vehicles:

  • SCC: Single Chassis Cab
  • DCC (or D-Cab): Double Chassis Cab
  • P/V: Panel Van
  • DCiV: Double Cab in Van
  • SWB / MWB / LWB: Short Wheel Base (L1) / Medium Wheel Base (L2) / Long Wheel Base (L3)
  • LWB-EL: Long Wheel Base, Extended Length (L4)
  • ELWB-EL: Extra Long Wheel Base, Extended Length (L5: Chassis Cab only)
