How do I set a Target Charge for my electric vehicle in FordPass?

You can limit your electric vehicle's (EV) battery charge level in FordPass®* by setting a Target Charge to your alternating current (AC) chargers. This can help preserve the health of your EV's battery.

Note: This feature is only available in the FordPass 5.X experience.

Limiting an EV charge level

Follow the steps below to set a Target Charge:

  1. Log in to FordPass.
  2. Go to the Energy screen.
  3. Tap Target Charge.
  4. Select one of the following:
    • The + (plus) icon if you have already added Target Charges for other locations.
    • The Create Target Charge button if you have not created any Target Charges yet.
  5. Enter a name for the location.

Note: The location name should be unique to make it easier to identify if you need to make changes later.

  6. Tap Location.
  7. Select an address from the list of your previously used AC chargers, and go back to the Add Target Charge screen.
  8. Move the slider icon to set your Target Charge Level. The Target Charge Level is set in percentages.
  9. Tap Save.

Your location and Target Charge are now saved.
