How do I lock and unlock my Ford charge station?

You can lock or unlock your Ford charge station using the FordPass^®* App to ensure others are not using your station without your permission. This feature is only available on the Ford Connected Charge Station.

Locking and Unlocking a Charger

To lock and or unlock your charge station, confirm your version of FordPass, and select your FordPass app version from the drop-down options below for steps.

FordPass 5.X Experience

To lock or unlock your charger:

Log in to your FordPass App.
Go to the Energy screen.
Tap Charge Station.
Select Settings.
Slide the Lock/Unlock toggle to move it:
- Toggle to the right to lock your charger.
- Toggle to the left to unlock your charger.

Note: The Auto Unlock setting is enabled by default, which automatically unlocks your Charge Station when your vehicle connects.

FordPass 4.X Experience

To lock or unlock your charger:

Log in to your FordPass App.
Go to the Account screen.
Select the Charge Station tile.
Tap Settings.
Slide the Lock/Unlock toggle to move it:
- Toggle to the right to lock your charger.
- Toggle to the left to unlock your charger.

Note: The Auto Unlock setting is enabled by default, which automatically unlocks your Charge Station when your vehicle connects.
