What Is Pro Power Onboard?
With Ford Pro Power Onboard, your vehicle can double up as a plug-in power source, allowing you to power your work tools wherever work takes you, and without the need for a separate fuel-driven generator. Available as an optional extra, Pro Power Onboard delivers 2.3 kilowatts of exportable energy.
What can Pro Power Onboard be paired with?
Whether your industry is construction, landscaping, or something else entirely, Pro Power Onboard can connect to almost everything you might need to conduct your business remotely. For example, you can continuously power a 2 kilowatt table saw for over 3 hours, using up only 10 percent of your battery. Laptops and laser printers can also be powered with ease, meaning you can transform your cabin into an on-the-go office.
Where are the Pro Power Onboard plugs?
Your vehicle comes with two Pro Power Onboard sockets in the cargo area, and one in the cabin where the handbrake would typically be. To activate Pro Power Onboard, simply press the button above the sockets. You can also do this via the SYNC 4 touchscreen.
Setup
To avoid range anxiety, Pro Power Onboard will turn off at a ‘remaining range’ set by you, ensuring you have plenty of range left to complete your journey.
